*Badlands!* (Adam)

Whew! Okay, aside from disgustingly gorgeous vistas, the Badlands also have lots of animals. Such as:

Bunnies
Chipmunks (specifically, "Least chipmunks")
Prairie dogs
And of course these guys:
This guy wanted a piece of me, but I flexed, and then he sodded off.
Okay, my kids hate me for still being on here. Bye! Yellowstone tomorrow!

  1. I can't hear/think about the Badlands without thinking about Teddy Roosevelt. When his wife died during childbirth, he fled to the Badlands because he wanted to be in a place that looked like how he felt. Be careful of them suicidal mountains...

  2. The undiscovered Terry Badlands beckon you to visit. We are just off the I-94 between Miles City and Glendive, Montana. Be sure to ask how to get to the Calypso peak. The views are fantastic. We moved here recently from Issaquah, Washington and consider Terry, Montana our new hometown with all of 600 residents living here. The downtown area is a throwback to the old pioneer days other than tbe brand new bank building on the corner of Logan and Spring. If you are in the neighborhood stop in for a visit at the Badlands Cafe and Scoop Shoppe. You can't miss it with the back of a '55 Chevy sticking out of the facade of the building. We are going to have our grand opening on Sept. 5 with lots of festivities.

  3. Thanks Bob! We would love to have stopped, but I'm afraid Terry was a bit off our route to Yellowstone, as I'm sure you can appreciate. It sounds great though, and we wish you the best of luck!
